Books on Game AI

  • Programming Game AI By Example
    A pretty decent book with solid examples in C++. In some areas his understanding and examples are a bit on the light side but probably oen of the best practical "how to" books out there.
  • Artificial Intelligence for Games
    Encyclopedic in its scope this is probably the most complete book on the subject on the market. Its one failing is that it presents the algorithms i pseudo-code and translating them to working code is not always intuitively obvious. This and Buckland make good companion texts.
  • Game AI in C# for Unity and Monogame
    This is the support page for my own self-published book taken directly from my fall 2010 class on game AI at Northeastern University. Due out fall 2013.
